Anymaker Co-op Hub
Online co-op for building and survival — voice, radio, and shared chassis. Not a local split-screen mode.
Anymaker’s multiplayer is online co-op, listed on Steam next to single-player. You can share the building tools, the survival loop, and the vehicles you weld together. Geometa also lists in-game voice chat and radio communication. What you will not find in the store features is local split-screen. If two people are on the same couch, they still need two PCs, two Steam accounts that can run the game (Family Sharing is listed), and a network path.
This hub exists so you plan a session before 18 September 2026, not after you have already parked a half-wired truck in a friend’s world. Player count is not a number this wiki will invent. Host expectations, join flow, and etiquette live on co-op setup. Everything below is the map of the topic.
What co-op is for
Co-op is not a PvP ladder and not a raid finder. It is how you:
- Hold an edge tool while someone else runs cables.
- Keep watch while a partner loots a bunker.
- Split hunger, repairs, and driving on a long island crossing.
- Talk on voice when the weather and the undead make text a bad idea.
Geometa’s feature list says cooperative support covers all game features including building. That is the important clause. You are not visiting a friend’s base as a tourist; you are a second maker on the same grid. Read vehicle building so you do not fight over the duplicate tool. Read base building so walls go up with a plan instead of two overlapping shacks.
Voice and radio
Voice is for the people in the session. Radio is a part as much as a social feature: it needs power, a place on the dash, and someone who actually keys it. Treat radio the way you treat lights — wire it, test it, then agree on a channel habit before you split up. Microcontrollers can help, but a working analog switch beats a clever program nobody can debug in a storm. See microcontrollers only after the radio makes sound.
If voice fails, you still have Steam overlay chat and Discord. Bookmark the links hub so the invite is not a scavenger hunt. Discord is the community channel Geometa points at; it is not a substitute for the in-game radio when you are in two valleys.
Career versus sandbox sessions
Decide the mode in the invite. Sandbox at Early Access launch is planned with all parts unlocked, infinite supply, noclip, daylight, and no enemies. That is a workshop night: boats, rotors, ugly prototypes, Workshop downloads. Career is hunger, wounds, wildlife, undead, military remnants, and underground facilities. Mixing those expectations is how one player brings a sightseeing helicopter and the other brings an empty stomach.
Boats and helicopters are launch features with buoyancy, boat parts, jet engines, and rotors. They are also easy ways to strand a friend. If your first co-op night is marine, say so, and keep a land runner on shore. The vehicle ranks exist partly to stop groups from spawning a C-tier hauler as the only ride.
What we will not claim
- A player cap. Unconfirmed.
- Dedicated servers as a store feature. Not listed here as a fact.
- Local split-screen. Not listed.
- Cross-play onto consoles. Steam Windows 10/11 64-bit with DirectX 12 is the published platform.
- Redeem codes for friends. There are none.
Family Sharing is listed on Steam, which matters if you are trying to get a household into the same session without a second purchase. Still confirm that both machines meet the system requirements — a co-op night dies just as dead on a GPU below the GTX 970 / RX 470 class as it does on a bad invite.
How to use this hub
- Send co-op setup with the Steam link from the links hub.
- Pick sandbox or career, and pick a first chassis from the vehicle ranks.
- Agree who owns engine, electrics, and loot so the build checklist is not a four-person argument.
- After 18 September, re-read this page against whatever the in-game host screen actually shows.
Anymaker is still upcoming. Host like an engineer: write the plan down, then weld.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Anymaker building, survival, and Early Access.
Is Anymaker local split-screen?
No. Steam lists online co-op and single-player. Two people on one couch still need two PCs and a network session.
Does co-op include building?
Yes. Geometa lists cooperative multiplayer for all game features including building, not just combat tagging.
How many players can join one world?
Unconfirmed. This wiki will not invent a cap. Watch the in-game host screen on 18 September 2026 and the co-op setup page for what we can actually verify.
Is there in-game voice?
Yes. Voice chat and radio communication are listed features. Radio still needs power and a plan; voice still needs working mics.
Can I Family Share Anymaker into co-op?
Family Sharing is listed on the Steam page. Confirm both PCs meet system requirements and that Steam's sharing rules actually let both of you play at once.
