Anymaker Early Access Launch
What Geometa promised for 18 September 2026 — sandbox, island scale, marine and rotor parts, and Steam Workshop.
Geometa set Anymaker’s Steam Early Access date to 18 September 2026. This page is a launch briefing for that date. It is not a review of a live client, because as of 14 September 2026 the game is still upcoming. Do not read “will include” as “already in your library.”
The 7 September 2026 Steam post is the checklist. Developers said they would share complete details on the 18th as they launch. Treat anything finer than the list below as to be confirmed in the client.
If you need the year-long view, use the roadmap. If you played in June, use the demo recap so you do not confuse Next Fest limits with launch.
Date, platform, modes
- When: 18 September 2026, Steam Early Access.
- Where: Windows 10/11 64-bit, DirectX 12. Steam app 4435340.
- Who: Geometa as developer and publisher. Not Roblox. Not Stormworks 2.
- How you play: single-player and online co-op. Family Sharing is listed. Local split-screen is not.
- How long Early Access: about one year, per the Steam Early Access questionnaire.
Check system requirements before you plan a launch-night session. Steam Deck compatibility is unknown.
Sandbox mode
Launch sandbox is described as:
- all parts unlocked
- infinite supply
- noclip
- safety
- daylight
- without enemies
That is a workshop, not a stealth survival map. Use it to learn the in-world ~8 cm grid, diagonals, and the edge / panel / window / component / property / logic / cable / fluid / repair / duplicate tools without spending career loot. Use it to fail a rotor in peace. Then, if you want hunger and undead, start a career save instead of wondering why sandbox will not spawn a patrol.
Career still exists as the survival loop: hunger, wounds, combat, weather, wildlife, undead, military remnants, underground facilities, unlocks. Sandbox is how you practice; career is how those parts get scarce. The tier list hub grades them differently on purpose.
Island scale
Developers said the accessible map at launch is much bigger than the demo — they think at least about four times. That is their estimate, not a survey stake. Expect more room to strand a truck, more weather to drive through, and more reason to treat a short chassis as your first career vehicle. See vehicle ranks and survival.
A bigger island also makes co-op radio less optional. If you host, read co-op setup before you scatter friends across a coastline they have never seen.
Boats and helicopters
The same launch note adds:
- new buoyancy simulation
- boat parts
- jet engines
- rotors
so players can build marine hulls and rotary aircraft. This is the headline mechanical jump from the demo’s land-heavy loop. It is also the feature with the widest uncertainty: buoyancy and rotors can look solved in a trailer and still humble you in a crosswind. Learn them in sandbox. Keep a shore runner. Use boats and helicopters as the how-to, not as a promise that your first career hour should be a seaplane.
New items, weapons, components
Geometa said many new items, weapons, and components are available at launch, with complete details on the 18th. This wiki will not pre-write a gun table. Alpha loot included a shotgun; attachments and ammo are listed systems. Rank habits on the weapons list and part jobs on the parts list until your inventory screen is the catalog.
Microcontrollers remain drag-drop or text, with debug / step / inspect. New components will still need cables. New weapons will still need a vehicle that starts. Launch day is a bad time to skip engines and wiring.
Steam Workshop
Workshop support is promised at Early Access launch. You should be able to upload and share creations. That will scramble any private “best truck” list overnight. Download in sandbox. Inspect electrics before you trust a file in career. The Workshop URL lives on the links hub.
Workshop is not a substitute for learning the tools. A downloaded ferry that you cannot repair is a very large anchor.
What launch is not
- It is not 1.0. The full version is planned to expand tools, equipment, building parts, enemies, and places.
- It is not a price freeze forever. Geometa plans to raise the price after Early Access as content ships.
- It is not a codes event.
- It is not a PvP season.
- On 14 September 2026 it is still upcoming.
Around 13 September 2026, trackers put wishlists near 29k. That is optional context for how many people may queue the download on the 18th. It is not a skill rating.
Launch-night order of operations
- Confirm DirectX 12 and the system requirements.
- Boot sandbox, spawn a short chassis, complete the build checklist once.
- Try a hull or a rotor only after a land engine cranks.
- Start career when you want loot pressure, and keep getting started open.
- If friends join, one pad, one radio check, one named save — co-op hub.
On the 18th, let the Steam post and the client win every argument with this article. Until then, this is the promise list: sandbox to learn, a bigger island to get lost on, boats and helicopters to earn, Workshop to share, and a year of expansion after that.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Anymaker building, survival, and Early Access.
When does Anymaker Early Access start?
18 September 2026 on Steam for Windows. It is not released before that date.
What is included on day one?
Geometa's 7 September note lists sandbox (unlocked parts, infinite supply, noclip, daylight, no enemies), a much larger island than the demo, boats and helicopters, new items and components, and Steam Workshop.
Is sandbox the same as career?
No. Sandbox is a safe workshop. Career still uses survival systems, unlocks, and enemies. Pick on purpose, especially in co-op.
Will boats and helicopters work on launch day?
They are listed for Early Access launch via buoyancy, boat parts, jet engines, and rotors. How they feel is unproven until players fly and float on the 18th.
Is Steam Workshop really at launch?
That is what the developers posted. Use it in sandbox first, then career. The library URL is on the links hub.
Is this the full 1.0 game?
No. Early Access is planned for about a year, with more tools, parts, enemies, and places still to come. See the roadmap.
